The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce is the highest authority for the protection of personal data, is the national authority for the protection of competition and also protects consumers. The SIC needed to adopt new technologies to provide impactful solutions to citizens and entrepreneurs in Colombia. The entity sought to digitally transform itself and provide public access to reports by implementing new functionalities in an agile way. To address the challenges posed by the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), a DevOps approach was proposed to drive digital transformation and provide innovative solutions in an agile way.

How do we intervene?
We worked hand in hand with Amazon Web Services from the beginning in the definition of the problem, we proposed a solution architecture, we validated this architecture with the AWS architects and with them together, we selected the AWS services that were going to make special emphasis on providing a solution to the problem we had and were facing in the project.
Some of the Amazon Web Services solutions that we were using in infrastructure were: Amazon S3, and Amazon EC2, among others. The analytics and machine learning solutions used were: Amazon Comprehend, Amazon Transcribe, Elasticsearch, among others.
In addition, a culture of collaboration was established, as well as close communication between the development and operations teams , promoting process automation, version control and ensuring code quality.
