Our history

Nuvu's story is an inspiring journey that began in the college days of its founders, Fernando and Andres, two entrepreneurs passionate about technology and innovation.

In 2005 they founded Osmosys, a technology startup focused on the financial sector. Their tenacity and vision attracted the attention of an established company in the fiduciary niche, which decided to invest in these young talents to develop disruptive solutions in personal banking and corporate banking.

This collaboration with the financial industry turned out to be a springboard for something even bigger. While immersing themselves in the complexity and possibilities of the financial sector, Fernando and Andres discovered an even bigger opportunity: the potential of technology to radically transform the public sector.

They realized that agile, simple and accessible technology solutions could change society and improve the lives of millions of people.

In 2014 Andres and Fernando sensed the potential of emerging Cloud, Mobile and Blockchain technologies.

They envisioned a future in which these powerful forces would completely shape the financial and governmental landscape.

With that premonition in mind, these two bold pioneers founded Nuvu, which did not anticipate this new era, but was born with the ambitious mission to bridge the gap between the physical and virtual experience, to merge these two worlds into a single seamless and powerful experience.

By adopting the powerful cloud capabilities of Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2015, Nuvu was able to quickly and efficiently deliver added value to our customers through innovative cloud-based solutions.

In a short period of time, Nuvu stood out for its exceptional skill and delivery, which led us to become an AWS Consulting Partner in the same year.

Nuvu's success is thanks to the tireless effort and passion of its team.

Their dedication to exploration and continuous learning allowed them to create ever more innovative and effective solutions.

This inquisitive and dedicated spirit was recognized in 2018, when Nuvu was honored with Amazon Web Services' Learn and Be Curious award.

As a result, Nuvu attracted the attention of a long-standing business group in Colombia, Grupo Penagos, which became an investor in 2019, further fueling its growth.

This year, Nuvu earned the "AWS Partner Government Services Competency", a distinction awarded by AWS that recognizes technical skills and success in collaborating with the government sector. This achievement not only highlights Nuvu's expertise in assisting the public sector in addressing critical challenges with AWS solutions, but also confirms Nuvu's ability to develop and deploy robust and effective AWS cloud solutions for government entities.

In 2020, a year marked by the pandemic, Nuvu experienced accelerated growth and diversified its offering with multiple products: Houndoc, Xcrime, Wisse, Uxer and more.

Despite the pandemic, the Nuvu team was able to face the challenges and in 2021 they managed to obtain the category of Advanced Consulting Partner of Amazon Web Services (AWS), a recognition that highlights their ability and experience in the implementation of innovative cloud-based solutions.

Nuvu's commitment to excellence and constant pursuit of improvement led them to be awarded in 2022 with the prestigious title of AWS Public Sector Partner of the Year, a recognition granted by Amazon Web Services to the partner that has demonstrated exceptional performance and commitment in serving customers in the public sector during the year.

This recognition evidenced their leadership and success in the implementation of technology solutions in the government environment, highlighting their contribution to the development of the public sector.

In 2023, Nuvu achieved the distinction of +100 AWS Certifications and the fulfillment of all requirements to apply for the highest category of partnership with AWS: Premier Partner.

Additionally, it achieved the "AWS Partner Migration Services", a recognition awarded to AWS partners that demonstrate expertise in helping customers move applications and data to the AWS cloud, as well as the "AWS DevOps Services Competency" that highlights those partners with specialized skills in DevOps tools and practices using AWS.

In this year, Nuvu made the decision to focus its growth around products and services oriented to analytics applied to organizations in LATAM.

With a clear vision of the transformative power of data and analytics, they set out to leverage emerging technologies to deliver cutting-edge analytics solutions to their customers.
