The Superintendence of Corporations is a technical agency, attached to the Ministry of Commerce. It is an autonomous entity with its own assets and legal personality through which the President of the Republic exercises the inspection, surveillance and control of commercial companies. The Superintendence of Corporations must receive annually the information of the financial statements of all the companies it oversees. However, the information processing capacity is limited, so that it is a great challenge to arrive at specific actions based on this data. The Superintendency of Corporations seeks to convert the information from the entities it oversees into a compass that allows them to take specific actions to support the companies at different stages.
